Wilmington’s northern riverfront got another boost Wednesday as a Raleigh company announced plans to build a 300-unit, $50 million apartment complex along Port City Marina between PPD’s headquarters and the Wilmington Convention Center.
Construction is expected to begin on the mixed-use buildings, in the fall with completion about 16 months later, according to a news release from the developer, DeWitt Carolinas.
The six-story structure will include 32,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The complex also will have a 700-space parking deck accessible from each residential and commercial floor.
